Experience

Laura Diaz Anadon is the manager of ETIP's Energy Research, Development, & Deployment (ERD&D) Policy project. The main aim of the ERD&D project, which is funded by a grant of $1.46 million from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, is to produce and promote a comprehensive set of recommendations for the next U.S. administration for investing what may be a greatly expanded budget for federal energy technology innovation. The ERD&D project is also addressing the interaction between public and private sector ERD&D and studying the potential for international cooperation.

Laura holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Magnetic Resonance and Catalysis Group at the University of Cambridge (UK) and is pursuing a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. Before coming to the Kennedy School, Laura worked as a financial consultant in London for Oliver Wyman, where she developed credit risk models and frameworks for banks. Laura also holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from UMIST (University of Manchester, UK) and carried out her masters thesis at the University of Stuttgart (Germany), where she worked on modelling parts of an on-vehicle fuel cell system. Laura has collaborated extensively with Johnson Matthey Process Technologies, and previously interned at DuPont on Environmental Technology and Waste Management, and with Bayer Pharmaceuticals on R&D and Quality Control.
