Middle East Initiative

Join Professor Tarek Masoud for a conversation with Bret Stephens, New York Times opinion columnist and founder and editor-in-chief of SAPIR, on the war in Gaza, U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, and the crisis of speech on college campuses. This event is part of the Middle East Initiative's "Middle East Dialogues," a series of frank, open, and probing encounters with vital and varied perspectives on the current conflict, its causes, and the prospects for peace and progress in the region.

Professor Shibley Telhami of the University of Maryland, Professor Shai Feldman of Brandeis, and Former Ambassador to Israel and Syria Edward Djerejian will discuss the ongoing events in Israel/Palestine with MEI Faculty Chair Professor Tarek Masoud.

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2021, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan joins the Center for International Development, MEI, Women and Public Policy Program, and the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School to discuss women’s empowerment, cross-cultural dialogue, and innovative solutions to global challenges. The conversation will be moderated by Melani Cammett, Clarence Dillon Professor of International Affairs at Harvard.
