Memorial Service for Paul M. Doty with Speaker Remarks
PAUL DOTY MEMORIAL SERVICE
On May 4, 2012, a Memorial Service was held for Paul M. Doty at Harvard University's Memorial Church. Doty, whose legacy includes founding what is now Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Harvard's Department of Biochemistry, was remembered by family, friends, and colleagues.
Speakers at the service included: Graham Allison, Director of Harvard's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Douglas Dillon Professor of Government, Harvard Kennedy School; James Watson, Chancellor Emeritus, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory; Ashton B. Carter, Deputy Secretary of Defense; Jacques Fresco, Pfeiffer Professor in the Life Sciences and Professor of Molecular Biology, Department of Molecular Biology, Princeton University; Albert Carnesale, Chancellor Emeritus, Professor of Public Policy and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Public Policy, University of California, Los Angeles; and Bruce Alberts, Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of California, San Francisco; Editor-in-chief, Science, United States Science Envoy.
