Science, Technology, and Public Policy Program Seeks New Project Manager

The Science, Technology, and Public Policy (STPP) Programin the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is seeking a new colleague to manage, coordinate, and conduct research for a major research project. The project examines a wide range of issues focusing on innovations, climate mitigation, and sustainable energy alternatives in China, the United States, and the European Union.

The Project Manager is expected to (1) strongly contribute to the scholarly literature and policy process through publishing articles and making presentations at meetings, seminars, briefings, and conferences individually and with the Energy Techology Innovation Policy research group faculty; (2) do external relations and development work, including assisting the faculty co-PIs in identifying funding sources, grant writing, grant administration, budgeting, outreach, and publicity; (3) lead the research group, in conjunction in many cases with the co-chairs and other affiliated faculty, including pre-doctoral and post-doctoral research fellows, research associates, and visiting scholars; also organize regular seminar series and workshops, and help guide the overall research agenda; (4) be responsible for managing Project staff, communications, and the fellowship recruiting and selection process; and (5) actively build linkages with other programs and faculty members at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard University.

This is a benefits eligible grant-funded position through June 30, 2016, with the strong possibility of renewal.
