Study Examines Water Used for Fuel Extraction, Power Generation

A new study co-authored by researchers at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, and the University of Calgary provides the first comprehensive representation of changing water consumption patterns associated with fuel extraction and power generation.

Belfer Center Named Top Think Tank for Work in Climate Economics and Policy

The International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG) has named Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs winner of the 2012 ICCG Climate Think Tank Ranking in the Global category. The Belfer Center was cited as the most influential institution outside of Europe “working in the field of climate change economics and policy.” The European winner is the Basque Center for Climate Change (BC3) in Spain. New Fellow Position at the Science, Technology, and Public Policy Program and the Energy Technology Innovation Policy Research Group at HKS

The Harvard Kennedy School's Science Technology and Public Policy Program and the Energy Technology Innovation Policy research group (joint with the Environment and Natural Resources Program) is looking for a research fellow to join in September 2013. This fellow will conduct independent research in the area of technology innovation and policy, as well as organize two Harvard Kennedy School Executive Workshops. The position will be from September 1, 2013 until June 30, 2014, and renewable for a year subject to funding, interest, and performance. Salary will be competitive at the postdoctoral level and the additional responsibilities and range from $50k to $60k.
