A former officer with the U.S. Army Intelligence and the CIA, Congressman Goss brings personal knowledge and experience to his role as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He actively participates in the review of NATO?s response to global security issues and has proven a tremendous resource for our allies. He frequently travels to Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia to better understand the challenges they face and to create a more stable international community.

The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is proud to host a Director's Seminar entitled, "9/11 and the Future of American Intelligence," with Congressman Porter Goss (R-FL). As Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Congressman Goss has been leading the investigation into possible intelligence failures prior to the attacks on September 11th and has been working to improve U.S. intelligence operations in order to prevent future terrorist attacks.
