The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is proud to host a Directors’ Lunch with Dr. William Kristol, Lecturer in Public Policy and Editor of The Weekly Standard on Monday April 16th, in the Belfer Center Library (L369).
Kristol has been editor of The Weekly Standard since its founding in 1995. He is also an analyst for the Fox News Channel.  From 1993 to 1995 he led the Project for the Republican Future, where he helped shape the strategy that produced the 1994 Republican congressional victory.

Kristol served as Chief of Staff to former Vice President Dan Quayle during the first Bush Administration and, from 1985 to 1988, was Chief of Staff to Secretary of Education William Bennett under former President Ronald Reagan.

Kristol is currently a Lecturer in Public Policy at the Kennedy School.  He previously taught at the Kennedy School from 1983 to 1985 and in the political science department at the University of Pennsylvania from 1978 to 1983. He has co-edited several books, including The Neoconservative Imagination; Educating the Prince: Essays in Honor of Harvey Mansfield; and Present Dangers. In 2003 he co-authored The War Over Iraq.

He received his A.B. from Harvard University graduating magna cum laude and also received his Ph.D. from Harvard.
