Before confidence building can occur between the two primary adversaries — North Korea and the United States — the focus first must be placed on establishing strong communication and trust between China and the United States.
Ms. Wu will share key findings on China's role in resolving the North Korean nuclear crisis, the difference between China and the United States over the Kim Jong Il regime and its nuclear program, and how China and the United States can forge closer policy coordination which can lead to a more effective multilateral diplomatic effort in dealing with North Korea — and to their long-term, mutual benefit.
