Beginning in May 1999 and continuing through 2001, the WPF has held a series of negotiating meetings with Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots. The meetings have been marked by considerable progress toward the formulation of a set of creative new ideas that may be used to propose a new solution to the long-running Cyprus problem.
