About

Ka Hsaw Wa is a founder and Director of EarthRights International. He directs the work of ERI's indigenous staff and travels clandestinely in Burma to gather evidence of human rights and environmental abuses associated with foreign investment and development in Burma. In recognition of his courageous work to document these abuses, Ka Hsaw Wa received the 1999 Goldman Environmental Prize, the 1999 Reebok Human Rights Award, and the 1999 Conde Nast Environmental Award.
