A National Innovation Strategy for Japan

"The current Japanese economy is sluggish because of financial instability and lack of strategy. Financial instability in Japanese banking system, is going to be solved step by step, but the latter one, lack of strategy in both companies and the Japanese government, is still serious. Therefore, we are trying to establish a national innovation strategy that ensures sustainable society and strong productivity growth. The first version of that Japanese National Innovation Strategy will be completed and published in March 2000, and now, we have drafted a skeleton of it."
