The Politics Of Sovereignty: Rome Negotiations For An International Criminal Court

About

International criminal law is created at the intersection of a series of relationships or pairings. In today?s brown bag lunch, Gerry Simpson will make some tentative observations about three of these intersections -- sovereignty and the international; law and politics; and remembering and forgetting. Gerry will discuss each of these and their effect on the creation of international criminal law in the context of the International Criminal Court negotiations in Rome in the summer of 1998.
