Since 1995, Bereket has been producer and host of the television news program PUSULA. Some of the many important events Bereket has covered in his tenure as a journalist include: Bill Clinton's visit to Turkey, the OSCE summit in Istanbul, the European Union Helsinki Summit, as well as elections in Greece, Cyprus and the USA. He has also covered the Gulf War, Bosnian conflict, the war in Afghanistan, hostilities in Algeria, the Chechen War, and NATO operations in Palestine and Kosovo.
