The Project on Managing the Atom is seeking an Executive Director
Working in close partnership with faculty lead Professor Matthew Bunn and other MTA staff, the Executive Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the MTA research group. This includes:
- Helping to conceive and direct, and participating in, high-impact research and policy outreach efforts;
- Promoting, leading, and managing the fellowship program, including overseeing recruitment and selection of research fellows and participating in mentoring;
- Working with faculty to raise funds to support the project;
- Managing and allocating budgets and expenses;
- Managing the weekly research seminar and other activities for fellows and staff;
- Overseeing and mentoring a small permanent staff;
- Organizing workshops and conferences in Cambridge and abroad;
- Overseeing preparation of publications;
- Coordinating with the rest of the Belfer Center;
- Serving as focal point for MTA’s participation in the Gender Champions in Nuclear Policy initiative; and
- Expected to build a cooperative, respectful, and inclusive research community.
