In this presentation, Chikkatur discusses India's energy challenges and scenarios, especially as they relate to coal and sustainability, and technological barriers and opportunities for cleaner coal extraction. He delves into policy options and other facilitating conditions that can enhance cleaner coal extraction and utilization in India, highlights efforts to put ideas into action, and finally he points to future research directions.
