Policies for Advanced Coal Technologies in India (and China)
Presentation to The World Bank
In this presentation, Chikkatur discusses the role of coal in the Chinese and Indian power sectors. He covers different coal power technologies and policies for incentivizing technological innovation in the coal sector in those countries, discusses some challenges and constraints that are specific to the Indian coal power sector, and poses policy options for addressing these challenges. Finally he suggests possible roles for the World Bank regarding coal power in India and China.
