"The Middle East: Between Progress and Conflict" was held at the Kennedy School of Government on November 8, 2007. The conference featured panels on "The Shifting Balance of Power," "The Challenge of Islamism," "Managing Ongoing Conflicts," and "Prospects for Economic Transformations" and two keynote speeches by Ambassadors Lakhdar Brahimi and Edward Djerejian.
