Debtscapes: the politics of social reproduction in the post-revolution city

Each year, the Emirates Leadership Initiative at Harvard Kennedy School makes it possible for the Middle East Initiative to host six early-career social scientists working on issues of urgent policy relevance in the broad areas of governance, economic development, national security, and inter-national relations in the Middle East and North Africa. This publication contains brief overviews of the research conducted by the 2020-21 cohort of Emirates Leadership Initiative Research Fellows, spanning such diverse topics as grassroots democracy-building in Tunisia, prejudice reduction in Israel and Palestine, and security provision in Lebanon.
