Historically, Indigenous Peoples have been excluded from decision-making processes involving the land and resources on which they depend. In the face of drastic Arctic climate change, the empowerment of these communities has become urgent. In August, the Arctic Initiative co-sponsored workshops in Norway aimed at empowering Arctic Indigenous youth leaders.
