Seminar - Open to the Public

HKS Black Student Union and Belfer Center | Haiti on the Global Stage

Wed., Nov. 17, 2021 | 12:15pm - 1:30pm

Online

The HKS Black Student Union and Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs are co-hosting a series of conversations on Haiti. In light of recent events surrounding Haiti, Haitian refugees, and the broader Haitian diaspora, we think it is an important time to look anew at the history and narrative of the country, its relationship to the U.S. and other global powers, and how the Haitian diaspora sees its role in the path forward. The first conversation will be focused on unpacking Haiti's story and its relationship to the U.S. The event will be moderated by Professor Zoe Marks, Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Note: While this virtual event is on the record, the event organizers prohibit any attendees, including journalists, from audio/visual recording or distributing parts or all of the event program without prior written authorization.
