-Applying Expertise to Korean Relations
U.S.-Korea relations, especially related to nuclear weapons issues, have long been a focus of the Belfer Center and its experts, who research, analyze, and take part in relevant security-related activities. The Center-based Harvard Korea Working Group addresses key policy questions about major security transformations on the Korean Peninsula through activities that brings together practitioners, researchers, and professional degree students. These activities – including workshops and conferences in the U.S. and Korea – enable the Group to better understand and address rapidly evolving security challenges on the Korean Peninsula. The Working Group was founded by the late Stephen Bosworth, former U.S. Ambassador to South Korea and Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center.
