Arctic Policy Hackathon: Policy Recommendations for Food Sovereignty in the Arctic

On October 11-12, 2022, in Reykjavik, Iceland, Arctic Initiative Senior Fellow Jennifer Spence facilitated the first Arctic Policy Hackathon (APH) - a joint project of the Gordon Foundation, the Canadian International Arctic Centre, and the Arctic Mayors’ Forum. The workshop brought together emerging leaders from across the circumpolar North to develop policy recommendations to address the topic of food sovereignty in the Arctic.

Following the APH, the policy recommendations were presented during the "Food Sovereignty: Solutions in the Arctic" session at the 2022 Arctic Circle Assembly on October 13.
