March 2016 at MEI: Syria Five Years On
During March 2016, marking the fifth year since the start of Syria's uprising, the Middle East Initiative hosted a series of events focused on the international political and humanitarian response to the ongoing Syrian civil war and refugee crisis, including the migration crisis across the Mediterranean. Convening scholars, journalists and other policy experts and practitioners, these events analyzed the crisis and its regional impact from a variety of angles, with the aim of improving understanding of and response to the crisis. Below is a slideshow highlighting the events and a list of resources including event recordings, interviews with guests, and more information on MEI's events and activities on Syria, five years on.
