Security Expert Bruce Schneier Warns of AI Tools’ Potential Threat to Democracy

Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to dramatically alter how we gather information, communicate and work. Experts are also raising questions about how it will affect governance and what it will mean for the future of our democracy.

On February 4, 2023, Bruce Schneier, a Harvard Kennedy School lecturer and Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, joined PBS' William Brangham to discuss his recent op-ed on how ChatGPT and other AI tools could replace humans in democratic processes.
