From Trump to Biden – the First 100 Days: Foreign Policy in Washington

| Apr. 28, 2021

In his first 100 days in office, President Joe Biden has already addressed many challenges and fulfilled many promises: recommitting the US to the Paris Climate Agreement firsts and foremost, extending the New START Treaty, developing an extensive national vaccination plan, and introducing the American Rescue Plan. On April 22nd and 23rd, Biden invited 40 heads of state to a climate summit. What about global challenges and conflicts? Where do we stand after Biden's first 100 days and what lies ahead? What role will the transatlantic relationship and Germany play in the coming years for the new US Administration? Which of Europe and Germany's expectations for the new US President have been fulfilled, and which areas have been disappointing? [translated from German; interview in German]
