Join us for a conversation with Belfer Center Senior Fellows Daniela Schwarzer and Ivo Daalder on transatlantic relations, Europe’s role in the world, and the implications of Germany’s recent election results. The Alternative for Germany’s (AfD) electoral gains have intensified debate about the country’s political landscape and raised important questions about the future of German democracy and Germany’s role in Europe and the world.

 

Schwarzer and Daalder will discuss challenges in transatlantic relations, geopolitics, as well as how the election results in Germany may reshape the domestic political landscape, its implications for relationships with fellow EU member states, and the future of European cooperation.
