Sanaa Kaddoura
Dr. Sanaa Kaddoura is an Associate Professor at Zayed University whose research focuses on large language models, and natural language processing. Her work centers on developing AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges in cybersecurity, social protection, and sustainability, with a particular emphasis on the Arabic-speaking world.
Her research includes the development of open-source Arabic datasets and language technologies that support researchers, industry, and public sector organizations. She has led and contributed to projects in areas including misinformation detection, cyberbullying, hate speech, and privacy protection.
In 2025, Dr. Kaddoura received third place in the Best Artificial Intelligence Implementation in Policing category at the World Police Summit for her contributions to AI applications in security. She is a Senior Research Fellow at the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI), USA, a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, and a member of the Cyber Pulse Initiative for Women and Families, supported by the UAE Cybersecurity Council.
Her current research focuses on developing benchmark datasets for training and evaluating large language models on social media data, with applications in cybersecurity, online safety, and trustworthy AI. Her work emphasizes the creation of high-quality datasets that enable robust, ethical, and context-aware AI systems for the Arabic-speaking world and beyond.
