Omer Niazi

Omer Niazi is a Research Fellow at the Middle East Initiative at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. With over a decade of experience in the public and private sectors, his work centers on governance, rule of law, and international security.

Omer is the Founder and President of the Council on International Law, Order, and Security, a Washington, D.C.-based policy research institution. He is also a non-resident Fellow at the Atlantic Council and a non-resident Scholar at the Middle East Institute (MEI) in Washington, D.C.

Omer was formerly a Policy Advisor for the Fund for Constitutional Government and has also researched with the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), and the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). He has also worked with the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Security and Non-Proliferation (ISN) on initiatives aimed at nuclear non-proliferation.

Omer was a Mason Public Policy Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. He holds a B.A. in Public Administration and a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Master’s in Management from UNINETTUNO University. His views have been published by AEI, ISW, MEI, CIPE, The National Interest, and the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
