Afghanistan: Open Dialogue - Outpost Warfare and the Media
Discussion co-led by former Army officer Erik Malmstrom and an embedded photojournalist Peter Van Agtmael.

Erik is a first-year HKS/HBS joint-degree student and an Army infantry officer who also writes for the NYTimes Homefires blog. Peter is a photojournalist focusing on the consequences of America's wars at home and abroad. He has embedded repeatedly with the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2006, including with Erik Malmstrom's platoon in 2007.
