Stationed in Afghanistan, MG Eikenberry will give us a first hand look at the progress we have made in securing Afghanistan and what future actions still need to be taken.

The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is proud to host a Director's Seminar entitled "Building Security in Afghanistan" with Major General Karl Eikenberry. Stationed in Afghanistan, MG Eikenberry will give us a first hand look at the progress we have made in securing Afghanistan and what future actions still need to be taken. Prior to his work in Kabul, MG Eikenberry was the Deputy Director, Strategy, Plans and Policy Directorate, in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, United States Army. He has held many military posts in Asia including: the U.S. Defense Attaché in China, from October 1997 to September 2000; Senior Country Director for China, Taiwan and Mongolia; and Deputy Commander, United Nations Command Security Force in Korea.
