The CIA’s Strategic Insight Department will brief on complex national security challenges, Thursday, November 3rd, from 2:30 to 4:00 pm in the Belfer Center Library (L369). This seminar is open to Harvard ID card holders and is off the record: comments cannot be published without the consent of the speaker.
The Strategic Insight Department was formed from the Red Cell, a small, senior analytic unit in the CIA's Directorate of Intelligence charged with provoking thought, challenging conventional wisdom, and taking an out-of-the-box approach to the full range of intelligence challenges. The Red Cell still exists as a subunit of the department, but SID’s mandate also includes looking at broad, complex national security challenges from a corporate (vice “red”) perspective.
This seminar is open to Harvard ID cardholders and is off the record: comments cannot be published without the consent of the speaker.
