About

DATE CHANGE  Russian analyst and politico, Leonid Gozman, speaks on Russia After Crimea: Brave New World - "Be Prepared.”

Dr. Gozman is a prominent 1990’s Russian liberal who has survived the changes in his country, in part because he has been Anatoly Chubais’s principal adviser. Incredibly well connected, informed, and opinionated, Gozman will give a brief presentation on the current dynamic of Russia’s domestic politics and where it’s headed, followed by discussion. An early proponent of democratic reforms in Russia, Dr. Gozman served as an adviser to former Finance Minister Yegor Gaidar and First Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Chubais in the early 1990’s. He was chairman of the Right Cause political party from 2008 until its suspension from electoral participation in 2011. Gozman is an associate professor in the social psychology department of Moscow State University. He was recently a senior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC.

This seminar is off the record and comments cannot be recorded or published without the consent of the speaker. The seminar is open to Harvard students, fellows, faculty, and ID card holders.
