A Discussion of U.S. Army Stability Operations Capabilities

Invitation Only Open to the Public

information briefing on the Army Focus Area Stability Operations study

About

U.S. Army Majors Tim Leroux and Sean Morgan will present a short information briefing on the Army Focus Area Stability Operations study.  They are principally analyzing the question of the utility of special purpose peacekeeping forces and their role in stability operations and are also exploring capabilities required to conduct stability operations.

A brief description of the purpose of the study by Majors Leroux and Morgan will serve to focus further discussion.  Majors Leroux and Morgan are particularly interested in soliciting participants' thoughts on the role of the U.S. Army in stability operations in a joint, interagency, and multi-national environment; the utility of special purpose peacekeeping forces versus general purpose forces; and improvements to the Army’s stability operations capabilities.
