Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty – Light at the end of the tunnel?

Please join Belfer Senior Fellow Olli Heinonen for his talk, "Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty - Light at the end of the tunnel?". Mr. Heinonen will present off-the record reflections from a meeting of governmental experts on the verification of the treaty. The group has been established by a resolution of the UN General Assembly to make recommendations on aspects that could contribute to the negotiation on a treaty banning the production of fissile material for nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices. This discussion concentrates on fissile material and production facilities to be covered.
