About

Seeing Red: A Discussion with CIA's Red Cell

Founded in the wake of 9/11, the Red Cell is a small, senior analytic unit in the CIA's Directorate of Intelligence charged with provoking thought, challenging conventional wisdom, and taking an out-of-the-box approach to the full range of intelligence challenges. The Chief of the agency’s Red Cell will discuss the history of the unit, its analytic methods, and its mission in the larger Intelligence Community. The Chief will be joined by the Deputy Chief and a lead analyst.
