The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is proud to host a Director's Lunch on "High-Performance Government: Structure, Leadership, Incentives" with Robert Klitgaard, Dean, The Pardee RAND Graduate School.
The RAND Corporation is the world’s largest think tank and, in Alice Rivlin’s words, "the citadel of policy analysis." It turns out RAND is also the hope to a vast body of research on public management. In response to the Volcker Commission’s 2003 critique of the U.S. government, professors at the Pardee RAND Graduate School distilled some relevant findings from that research. PRGS Dean Robert Klitgaard will highlight the surprising lessons learned—and lead a discussion of their implications for creating high-performance government under the new administration.
Dean Klitgaard is the Ford Distinguished Professor of International Development and Security at PRGS. He is the author of seven books, including Choosing Elites and Controlling Corruption.
We hope you can join us for what will be an interesting and informative discussion.
