How NOT to Fight Terrorism: Lessons from Israel

About

No other democracy has more experience in fighting terrorism than Israel. How and why did it fail in striking the proper balance between national security and human rights? What can be learned from the Israeli case about the efficacy of counter-terrorist methods in a democratic state? Eitan Felner is a Carr Center Fellow and was the former director of B'Tselem, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories and chairperson of Amnesty International - Israel Section.
