The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and the National Security Fellows will host a Brown Bag Seminar with Jeff Baxter on Monday, February 9th in the Belfer Center Library (L369).

Mr. Jeff Baxter will provide insight in current efforts in identifying and countering non-traditional terrorism, with an emphasis on terrorist use of cyber warfare, operations, and communications/command & control. In addition, he will provide insights into the on-going melding of methods between the USG and law enforcement as it relates to the gathering and analysis of intelligence, especially in an urban environment.

Mr. Jeffrey "Skunk" Baxter currently serves as an advisor to Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, (Ranking Member House Investigations & Oversight Sub-Committee, House International Relations Committee, Senior member House International Relations Committee), Specialist Reserve Officer for the Anti-Terrorist/ Major Crimes Division of the Los Angeles Police Department and member Terrorist Early Warning Group, (TEW), Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. He is a consultant/contractor for NGA/InnoVision, (National Geospatial Intelligence Agency), as well as holding current consulting agreements with SAIC, Photon Research, Sierra Nevada Corp, Northrop-Grumman, Ball Aerospace and General Dynamics Information Technologies.

He is a Senior Fellow and member of the Board of Regents at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies, a Senior Thinker at the IHMC, (Institute for Human & Machine Cognition) as well as a consultant at the AFRL, (Air Force Research Laboratory) and serves as a consultant to Mr. Charlie Allen, Director Intelligence & Analysis at DHS, (Dept of Homeland Security) on both his Advisory Board and his Collection Strategy Board as well as an advisor to the Director, NRO, (National Reconnaissance Office.) He is a consultant to the OSD/Special Capabilities Office. He was also a member of the ’05 Blue Ribbon Panel for the DNI to study and make recommendations on how to move information and intelligence to domestic law enforcement and first responders.
