India Conference at Harvard

Open to the Public

Designed, conceptualized, and developed by graduates students across the Harvard University, the India Conference at Harvard is a platform to discuss, debate, and champion India-centric issues. This year marks the 19th edition of the Conference with its strong legacy of hosting conversations with India’s leading politicians, business leaders, government officials, academics, artists, athletes, philanthropists for meaningful dialogue on India’s path to global recognition.

The conference is structured around three thematic areas: 1) Business, 2) Government / Policy, and 3) Culture. The agenda and list of speakers are continuing to grow and are all available on the website. Some sample events (among many others) include:

A moderated keynote discussion with Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister for Commerce and Industry, Textiles, and Food Production and Distribution. This session will cover India’s industrial and trade policy, including the role of US-India relations going forward. A panel on India’s energy infrastructure, featuring the Minister for Power and Renewable Energy and the Global Co-Head of Energy Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs. A panel on Indian tech companies that are growing into global players, involving two founders and CEOs of major startups and the top-ranking bureaucrat from the Ministry of Electronics and IT.

In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Conference will continue to be held virtually for the second time this year and for the first time in its history, limited access to all sessions will be made available for free for all registered participants from around the world. The conference’s website is available here: https://indiaconference-2022.com.
