Institutions for Research Assessment and Decision-Support Systems
This session will focus on the new Research and Assessment Systems for Sustainability project, "Institutions for Research Assessment and Decision-Support Systems." Research in this area over the coming year will seek to elucidate the properties of research and decision support systems (RADS) that are effective in dynamically linking research priority setting and decision support. We will begin by reviewing goals of the project (Jill J?ger), work to date on articulating the concept and possible cases of RADS (David Cash and Mark Hengen), and previous efforts to address RADS-like linkages in science policy (Robert Frosch).
