The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is proud to host a Director's Lunch on "Israel's Evolving National Security Debate," with Shai Feldman. Currently, Dr. Feldman is the Head of the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies at Tel Aviv University. He is no stranger to the Belfer Center, having since he served as a Senior Research Fellow at Belfer until October 1997, and is a member of our Board of Directors.

Prior to his work at Belfer, Dr. Feldman established and directed the project on Security and Arms Control in the Middle East at the Jaffee Center and also was a Senior Research fellow there. Dr. Feldman has
researched and published many works on issues related to Israel's national defense, nuclear policy, proliferation, and arms control, as well as on U.S. policies in the Middle East. He has authored Israeli Nuclear Deterrence and a monograph on The Future of U.S.-Israeli Strategic
Cooperation. His most recent works are: Nuclear Weapons and Arms Control in the Middle East (MIT Press); and Bridging the Gap: A New Security Architecture for the Middle East, co-authored with the Jordanian scholar
Abdullah Toukan.
