About

Join the Fares Center for Eastern Mediterranean Studies as it hosts H.E. Bayan Abdul Rahman, the Kurdistan Regional Government's Representative to the United States, for a discussion on Kurdistan.

The Kurdistan Region enjoyed a golden period of economic growth and increasing political influence in Iraq and the Middle East in the decade following the events of 2003. Now, as its Peshmerga forces are engaged in what could be a prolonged war against ISIS and as it shelters 2 million refugees and displaced persons, can Kurdistan revive its economy and pursue a role as the new political player in the Middle East?
