“I use ‘disruptive’ in both its good and bad connotations. Disruptive scientific and technological progress is not to me inherently good or inherently evil. But its arc is for us to shape. Technology’s progress is furthermore in my judgment unstoppable. But it is quite incorrect that it unfolds inexorably according to its own internal logic and the laws of nature.”
This event will take place in the Taubman Building, Ground Floor, Room G50, HKS.
Please join us for a screening of 10 Days Before The Wedding (Yemen, 2018) and a discussion with the film's director, Amr Gamal. A number of obstacles stands in the way of a young couple as only 10 days are left for their wedding, each obstacle is in one way or another caused by the aftermath of the 2015 war in Yemen.
