Mobilizing Science and Technology for Sustainable Development
The goal of this workshop is to identify specific investment priorities for the next generation of international efforts to harness science and technology in support of sustainable development. A report on the workshop's findings, to be drafted by the organizing committee, will be made widely available to international organizations, governments, businesses, and private foundations with a view to informing decisions on the allocation of political, financial, and technical resources that will be made in the context of the World Summit on Sustainable Development. This workshop will be hosted by Harvard University?s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, with co-sponsorship from the Initiative on Science and Technology for Sustainability, the International Council for Science (ICSU), and the Third World Academy of Sciences. Additional support is being provided the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
