Belfer Center Directors' Seminar "Shaping the International Agenda: Issues Beyond International Security," with Leon Fuerth has served as National Security Advisor to Al Gore since 1993. He is deeply involved in a wide range of foreign policy issues and manages the Vice President's binational commissions with Russia, South Africa, Egypt, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. He is also a specialist on economic sanctions, playing a leading role in the Clinton administration's efforts to tighten sanctions enforcement against Serbia.
