After the upset of the 2017 election, the seismic shock of the 2016 EU referendum, and the pollster-defying surprise of the 2015 election, the British and Irish Caucus take a second to ask - what the hell is going on in British politics? Our discussion will be led by Ed Balls, former UK Shadow Chancellor, former UK Education Secretary and MRCBG Fellow, and Peter Sands, former Standard Chartered Group Chief Exec and MRCBG Fellow. We will look at the factors that have contributed to these shifts, and consider what they mean for British politics moving forward. All are welcome, and as usual we'll head to Shays afterwards for a pint.
