Sustainability and Risk: Climate Change and Fiduciary Duty for the Twenty-First Century Trustee

About

ETIP, along with CERES and the CSR Initiative of the Center for Business and Government at the Kennedy School of Government, sponsored a workshop on September 23rd entitled: "Sustainability and Risk: Climate Change and Fiduciary Duty for the Twenty-First Century Trustee".

The workshop provided a unique forum for pension fund representatives to meet with experts to explore the connections between fiduciary responsibility and the risks to investments posed by global climate change and other sustainability issues. Working with Harvard faculty, attorneys, pension fund leaders, and other experts, trustees explored what they can do to address—consistent with their fiduciary duties—the financial risks and investment opportunities of climate change.
