The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs will host a directors' seminar with Ikram Sehgal, Chairman of the Pathfinder Group G4S. The Pathfinder Group G4S is a services conglomerate with interests in trading; counter-trade; security guard services; cash-in-transit; electronic security; courier services; due diligence, investigations; data verification; debt recovery; assets re-possession; food services; and publishing
Prior to his work with the Pathfinder Group G4S, Mr. Sehgal was Director of Bank Alfalah Ltd and General Tyre Ltd, as well as a foundation member of the World Economic Forum. He has been a member of the WEF Global Agenda Council for Counter-Terrorism and a member of the Business Advisory Board for the International Organization for Migration. He was also the Director of the Association of International Mobility and is former Chairman of the Society of Citizens Rights. Previously, he was chairman of the All Pakistan Security Agencies Association and a member of the Executive Committee of the American Business Council. He has been Chairman of the Security Committee ABC, Pakistan and Chairman of the Defence and Security Committee on the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) responsible for devising security against terrorist threats for all media institutions and journalists in Pakistan.
In addition to this work, Mr. Sehgal is also a former journalist whose syndicated weekly editorial ran in fifteen publications throughout six countries. He was the Publisher and Chief Editor of the Defence Journal and a former weekly TV talk show host. His articles have been collected in seven books including Till Debt do us Apart; Converting Garbage into Dreams; The Wages of Truth;Power Play; Passage to Nowhere; Leave the Army Alone; and Everything under the Moon.
Mr. Sehgal is a veteran of the Pakistan Army (Infantry and Army Aviation) and is the first Pakistani PW in history to escape from India. He was promoted to the rank of major and holds a Commercial Pilots License. He was educated at the Pakistan Military Academy, Lawrence College (Ghoragali) and Notre Dame College (Dhaka).
