Terrorism Reading and Discussion Group: ?Militant Islam"

Open to the Public

The topic of discussion will be several recent works on militant Islam

About

The topic of discussion will be several recent works on militant Islam. The starting point will be the Fawaz Gerges book, Journey of the Jihadist, or as an alternative his earlier book, The Far Enemy. Because his books may not be readily available in the Harvard libraries, other useful works for discussion could be Vali Nasr’s The Shia Revival (.pdf), or an April 2006 report from CSIS entitled "Currents and Crosscurrents of Radical Islam."  And a study by Richard Clarke and others entitled "Defeating the Jihadists" may also be useful.

The Perkins Room is Room 415 in the Rubenstein Building at KSG.

Please email Erica Chenoweth or Erik Dahl with any questions.
