The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is hosting world-renowned think tank expert James McGann for a lunchtime talk and discussion. Dr. McGann, a Senior Lecturer in International Studies at the Lauder Institute and Director of the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania, produces the annual Go To Think Tank Index, a ranking of more than 6,800 think tanks worldwide. He will discuss employment at think tanks, their rising influence, and new opportunities and risks facing the sector, including fresh scrutiny of how think tanks safeguard the quality, independence, and integrity of their work.
